Facilitators: Gordon Lindqvist, Michael Selge, Judy Sara

Capture the way water moves and how it interacts with light in either a natural setting or controlled environment.

Topic – ‘Abstract’
Abstraction is achieved once the subject is no longer recognisable as a person, tree, rock or flower etc. The most artistic form of expression, abstraction allows the photographer to take the viewer into a world outside their normal everyday experience. Please bring your laptop or tablet to this workshop with Photoshop (or similar) installed.

This topic has become very popular! Everyone will have the opportunity before the meeting to edit the same photos in any way they choose. On the night we can compare approaches and learn from each other’s ideas and techniques.
Facilitator: Paul Hughes

Abstract art usually refers to the creation of non-representational or non-objective artworks that focus on colours, shapes, lines and textures, rather than visible objects or scenes. Use filters, blends, warp, overlays or light to create images in Photoshop (or similar).

Topic – ‘Underwater Photography’
Angela and Gareth will discuss aspects of underwater photography; the challenges, difficulties, rewards and the specialised equipment needed.

Often overlooked in photography, the use of silhouettes in photography is a great technique.
