Each member attending gets to present at least one of their images, describe and explain it to the club and discuss it with others.

This new event has been added to the calendar following member requests and discussion at the AGM. It is an ‘in-house’, friendly, risk-free, no scoring chance to display, discuss and evaluate your work with others.

14     Competition : Signs View the top Prints & Digital images

Street signs, road signs, hoardings, shop windows airports, you name it.
The sign or signs must dominate the image.

28     Workshop: Tabletops

A workshop facilitated by experienced club members examining how to achieve success in this genre.

An experienced photojournalist will present their experience and perspective of photojournalism

Science is a systematic enterprise that builds / organizes knowledge testable explanations about the universe.
Technology – making, modification, usage, and knowledge of tools, machines, techniques, crafts, systems, to solve a problem

9       Competition: Red

The colour red must feature significantly in the image. It may not be the majority of the image area but must be a clear focal point.

23     Workshop: Image Workflow in Lightroom

A workshop on managing workflow using a computer software application facilitated by experienced club members.

June

6       Peer Review/Critique Session

Each member present gets to present at least one of their images, describe and explain it to the club and discuss it with others.

10     Queen’s Birthday Holiday

A photographic outing somewhere.

20     Competition: Photojournalism/Street Photography

Photo journalism is journalism which uses images to tell a news story.
The work is both honest and impartial whilst telling the story in strictly journalistic terms.

The annual duel – this time it’s at our place

Lines must not just be present but also a major feature of the image.
Railway, converging, leading, parallel, whatever!

Your image should demonstrate – “a pleasurable or painful condition of the mind which may accompany sensations, memories or judgements.”

5-7/10   Labour Day Weekend

This has often been a club outing. One will be planned during the year

24     Competition: Industrial/Urban Landscape

Where traditional landscapes generally display a largely natural environment with little evidence of man, these images concentrate on the landscape intensely affected by man and his culture.
