JANUARY
19. Welcome back – an AV evening
A projected image story with soundtrack (Audio Visual). The AV is to last no more than 5 minutes.

26. Australia Day
FEBRUARY
2. Competition : Mitcham
Images captured in and depicting portions of the City of Mitcham. Images will be reviewed for possible inclusion in the club’s 2013 calendar and may be of interest to the city council
16. Workshop: Natural Light Portraits – How to make them work.
A workshop facilitated by experienced club members demonstrating the methods and tools.
MARCH
1. Competition: Man versus Nature
Images demonstrating how we affect our environment – both natural and man made objects must be present.
15. Workshop: Low Light
A workshop which will enable you to treat this condition as a friend rather than an enemy
29. Competition: Book Title
At last a competition where the title is important. The image must portray the book title chosen. Images will be judged on photographic and artistic quality as well as relevance to the title.
APRIL
6-9 Easter Weekend
A club field trip will probably be planned. Confirmation nearer date.
12. Workshop: Spot Colour, put yourself into history, image stacking
A Photoshop workshop facilitated by two club members – have some fun with your images
26. Competition : Transport
Show us interesting images of transport – trains, planes and automobiles as a minimum, but any other method of moving people around qualifies.
MAY
10. Talks: Photography – my passion
Three club members will show their images and describe why they are passionate about that genre of photography. Three styles – slides, stitching photos, underwater photography.
Note:
- Disposable camera orders to be finalised
24. Competition: Seen Better Days
The image will be dominated by someone or something which is old, dilapidated or decrepit.
JUNE
7. Jeremy Watson
Jeremy Watson (who worked with us at the Natural Light Portrait workshop) will present some images of his work and workshops, and discuss what people would like in a workshop.
11. Queen’s Birthday Holiday
A photographic outing somewhere.
21. Competition: Detail
The detail of an object – it need not be macro or close up but it must show a detail.
JULY
5. Guest speaker: Print Making
Lindsay Poland from City Cross Camera House with tips and information from his extensive experience as a professional print maker.
17. Competition: Edwardstown Interclub
The annual duel – this time it’s at their place so it’s Tuesday
19. Competition: Someone Else’s Art
This could be any form of artwork – a painting, a photograph, a sculpture or even graffiti! The image should aim to be interpretive rather than a mere reproduction. Add something new to the artists work!
AUGUST
2.Workshop: How to make an Audio Visual
One of the most experienced AV workers in the state will show us the basics of combining images and sound into an Audio visual.
16. Competition: Water with movement
Both water and motion must be in the image – it could be moving water, or something moving in water, or being moved by water.
30. Guest Speaker: Stavros Pippos
A guest speaker will present their story.

SEPTEMBER
13. Annual General Meeting
Elect your committee! All positions are open!
This will be followed by the Disposable Camera Competition

27. Competition : Low Light
These images must be taken using only the light available at the scene. The fact that light was limiting must be obvious.
Note: Start preparing entries for Annual Exhibition – forms available (physcially and online)
OCTOBER
29-Sep to 1-Oct. Labour Day Weekend
This has often been a club outing and one will be planned during the year. We will try to organise this as a stay away overnight event to go somewhere a little further than usual. Keep the date free in your diary!
11. BPC Images Quiz Night
Images captured by club members will be the subject of the questions. Who took the shot? Where was it shot? How was it shot? So many questions, so little time!
25. Competition: Natural Light Portrait
Use those skills you acquired at the Natural lighting workshop – portraits in natural light!
NOVEMBER
8. Annual Exhibition – Judging
Three judges will evaluate the best the club has to offer. Come along, view all the images and see fair play done. Images can be those that have been entered in Competitions throughout the year, or entirely new ones.

22. Annual Exhibition and Awards
A display of all entries and presentation of Awards!

DECEMBER
8. End of year picnic
The last club event of the year – on a Saturday. Always an enjoyable time. Venue will be advised.
