13 Competition : Found Objects
The significant subject must obviously be a found object – sea shell, fossil, cans in the street, an old letter – you name it. But the “found” nature must be obvious.
27 Competition: The Colour Purple
The colour purple must feature significantly in the image. It might not be the majority of the image area, but it must be a clear focal point.
From phone “selfies” to studio portraits – as long as you are the photographer and the subject it’s in!
19 Competition: Disgraceful/Disgusting
This image must elicit and emotional response. The view must be tempted to say “Oh! That’s disgusting!” or “That’s disgraceful” – even “Yuck”
Set and Open subjects
Sometime this month! Interclub with Edwardstown
The annual duel – this time it’s at their place
This image should portray a scene from a well known film. The image need not be a faithful replica of an actual scene but must clearly portray the context of the film.
An image of the countryside, inland or coastal, with or without evidence of man.
23 Competition: Subject in Motion
The dominant/significant (maybe not the largest) subject must obviously be in motion. Subject blurred, background sharp or vice versa. Water drops frozen in flight (from the context) are obviously in motion.
A few set subject images which I think are worth another look!
20 Annual Exhibition and Awards
